87 Rothermel and Fetterolf family members and their spouses met at the Kutztown Grange Hall on September 17,2011 for the 72nd Rothermel and 87th Fetterolf Family Reunion. We made new friends and renewed relationships with our Rothermel and Fetterolf 'cousins'. There was plenty of time to meet and greet cousins, examine family memorabilia and history, research ancestors in the genealogy database, play bingo and participate in the silent auction and guessing games. Folks also had the chance to see samples of the new books. Click Here - See Reunion Pictures
At 2:40 PM Earl Rothermel called the annual business meeting to order. Earl lead the meeting because the president, L. Kehl Rothermel, could not be at the reunion. Rothermel, Genealogy Committee Chairman: Robert E. Keller, Historic Committee Chairman: Stuart J. Furman, Website and Mailing Database Chairman: Robert R. Rothermel, Newsletter and Recording Secretary: Karen A. Rothermel, Chaplin: Rev. Mark Rothermel.
At 4 PM everyone retired to the dining room and had a delicious (seemingly endless) family style dinner. After dinner we re-gathered to sing songs led by Phylis Angstadt on the piano. There is always plenty of singing at Rothermel/Fetterolf reunions.

The reunion ended, as it always does, with the singing of the Rothermel family anthem "Bless Be The Tie That Binds."Plan now to attend the Rothermel/Fetterolf Reunion in 2012.
