My grandmother ( Cardella Bueck) married Milton Rothermel and lived their entire life in Minersville, Penna. She was the first child born in the new settlement that I think was called Primrose, Pa. They had four children...Norman, who died at the age of 5, Dorothy, my mother, Herbert and Russell. My grand father's brother, Claude, owned what was known as the Rothermel Dairies. My mother moved to Philadelphia with my father (John Davis) and had three children. I have been looking for my cousins who all grew up in Minersville. They were Lois Jean, Agnes, Shirley, Russie, Carole Ann and Craig....all Rothermels. Are any of you out there? Would love to know what has happened to all over the past 50 years........your cousin from Philadelphia currently living in Colorado..Dottie Anne.....

I currently live in Sacramento PA and I found the sight through the newsletter. I attended a reunion with my grandmother who was a Bohner that married my grandfather who was Paul Rothermel. He is from the Rothermel family located in Klingerstown, Northumberland County. My maiden name was Rothermel. I am currently doing my family tree and find it very fascinating to find out the history of our family.

Comments: I live in Brookings, South Dakota. I found the Rothermel Family website while researching my Spotts/Hehn/Federolf line for a DAR supplemental application. How exciting to run across more generations of ancestors. My line runs through Anna Maria Margretha Rothermel who married Peter Federolf. Their daughter, Anna Barbara, married Philip Hehn, and their daughter, Barbara Maria, married Daniel Spotts, who is my mother's (Louisa Anna Spotts) great, great-grandfather

Comments: I live in Polo Il, and I found this website because of a letter I received in the mail about the new book. I like how everyone on the site is able to trace their family back so far. I had never known much about my Rothermel heritage before. I am the son of Lester Rae Rothermel and Sandi Berg. My grandfather on my dad's side was Lester Elva Rothermel (b 1899) married Celia Marie Rae his dad was George Rothermel(b around 1830) and had a brother named Amis Rothermel. Any help would be greatly appreciated on more information.
Cody Rothermel <speedytoad@hotmail.com>

Comments: St. Louis, MO is where I am currently living. Doing searches on family background on my grandmother's maiden name brought me here. Looking for how I can check out what and who are in our data base to know if my records could be of help.
Mr. John Snyder <johnsnydr@yahoo.com>

Comments: I live in Walnutown, PA. about 10 miles north in little suburb of Little Town Lehighton, PA. I am the great grandson of James H. Rothermel, Sheriff of Carbon County, PA 1903-1927? I was born in 1936 to Arlington Rothermel and Pauline Hascher.
Mr. Gerald Bruce Rothermel <CARDS36@RCN.COM>

Comments: I live in Louisville, KY, and discovered this Web site through a Google search. My great-great grandmother was Hannah Rothermel (1812 or 1814 - 1892), married to Peter Albright (his 3rd wife). I believe that her father was Peter D. Rothermel (b1773), son of Peter H. Rothermel (b 1742), son of Peter Z. Rothermel (b1716). Hannah was born in Berks Co., PA, and died in Cumberland Co.
Mrs. Gladys Horvath <gah326@yahoo.com>

Comments: I have a family history interest because of the early Rothermel/Fetherolf association as immigrants from Germany to Berks County, PA in 1730. This is only a casual visit -- I will be back.
Mr. John W. Fetherolf <jwf2879@gmail.com>

I was given this site by my third cousin who lives in California and is also related to the Rothermels from Walnuttown, PA. Harvey and Irene Rothermel were my Great Grand Parents. I hope to make it to the next reunion. I was an only child and would like to find out more about my relatives. Great Site

I need help with a Rothermel . His name is William P Rothermel. Little is known about this man by this line of decendants other than he married my grandmother's mother. they lived in Iowa a short time and he worked on the railroad at that time. i cannot track this man down . The William I find each time I search is a William Rothermel but not the one I seek. The last time I contacted someone in your organization was ten years ago. I am hopeful with newer technologies and newer records and even newer family members being discovered someone in your organization may have some helpful information or perhaps may be able to aid me in some other way. my Wm was married to Florence Allington. They had two children. Nellie and a boy. Born in Oelwein Ia in the early part of the 1900"s. Florence was institutionalized many years later and had been divorced by that time. I have no further information other than that. I do recall my grandmother saying at one time she had sisters.. half sisters in Wisconsin and they were younger than her( I believe they were younger). My wisconsin search has been fruitless at this point. You have a vast list of "relatives" with this spelling. I have had your biography. it was not helpful . years have now passed and I am hopeful someone can add light to my search. Maybe someone in your family knows Wm P. ( dont know what it stands for) Rothermel who lived in Iowa and Wisconsin. Maybe a decendant.
Mr Edward Versluys <a_1_dad@yahoo.com>

Greeting from the Texas Rothermels. We appreciate the web site. It gives us in Texas a way to stay connected with you folks in Pennsylvania. February, 2011 will be the next Texas Rothermel reunion in the area around Brenham, Washington Co., Texas. Andreas Rothermel was one of earliest to arrive in Austin Co., Texas. He applied for a Texas Land Grant under The Republic of Texas Act of Jan. 4, 1839. His brother, Anton, followed shortly thereafter. His sister, Franziska Rothermel Foehner followed in 1850 with her husband, children and her mother, Maria Magdalena Fellhauer Rothermel.
