  • German Heritage – origins of the Rothermel name and families in the early Germanic kingdoms of Europe, presented within a history of the Germanic people.

    Coats of Arms ­ "arms" as identification and their heraldic descriptions listed with the history of Rothermel arms and their descriptions.

    First Immigrants ­ traces three Rothermel families from the late 1600s in the Palatinate to when they immigrated in 1725 and 1727 to Pennsylvania and in 1839 as one of the first settlers in the Republic of Texas.

    Early Documents ­ several transcribed documents from the 1700s substantiating early Rothermel heritage in America plus short historical articles written by or about Rothermels, including an 1806 immigration to Canada.

    Publication Research ­ the history of the documents and records uncovered in searching for the Rothermel family roots, indicating prior incorrect information and updated material discovered after the 1989 publication.

    Choose either one of two books with the same information provided.
    One has a printed genealogy and the other has the genealogy on a CD.

    Big Book Big Book: with the historical heritage chapters and a printed genealogy listing including a complete index in an 8½ by 11 book containing about 2,656 pages that is about five inches thick and weighs about 11 pounds.

    Standard Size Book Standard Size Book: with the historical heritage chapters in a 200 page 6 by 9 book and the complete genealogy on a RootsMagic CD provided with the book and attached to the inside of the back cover.


    Each book will be shrink-wrapped and boxed. Allow three to four weeks after mailing your order for the book to be delivered by insured USPS Media Mail.


    Because of the lower than normal volumes resulting in a higher cost, the books are effectively a custom printing exclusively for the extended Rothermel families in America. The books enable those who have Germanic heritage to learn about their ancestral history and their ancestors who first immigrated to America.

    There are several hundred family names with extended family genealogies originating from a Rothermel ancestor. Branches of the Adam(s), Angstadt, Boyer, Brown, Deisher, Fisher, Hartman, Heffner, Hoch, Hoffman, Kauffman, Kline, Miller, Moyer, Noll, Reppert, Ressler, Schaeffer, Schappell, Schlegel, Seidel, Siegfried, Smith, Snyder, Wanner, and Zimmerman families are included with several thousand other surnames as part of the genealogies on the CD and printed listing.

Such as the other Rothermel spellings of Rhoadarmer, Rhodarmer, Rhodehamel, Roadarmel, and Rodarmel, Rothmel, Rothearmel, Rotharmel, Roadamer, Roadarmer, Roadarmour, Roadearmel plus the other spellings of Fetherolf or Fetterolf along with listings of both Dreibelbis and Trivelpiece are included.
